Is there an age requirement?

In order to provide better access to the artists and sponsors, the entire event will be enclosed in a "wine garden." There are 3 types of tickets to purchase for entrance: 1. VIP ticket to Umpqua Bank event  and general tasting (4:30-6pm, 6-9pm), Open Tasting ticket (6-9pm) and Art Patron ticket, which is just entrance inside the event; no tasting tickets (6-9pm). You must be 21 or older to attend. No exceptions.

When is Mercer Island Art Uncorked?

The Mercer Island Art Uncorked event is on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. This event is a rain or shine event.  Vendors are under tents but if there is rain bring your umbrella. Being in

All areas are closed to public from 2pm to 5pm.  Please allow the vendors to set up during this time.

How can I Volunteer?

Volunteering is simple, click here to sign up to volunteer: art uncorked volunteer. Training is provided. We appreciate your time and provide volunteer tasting discounted tickets.

Where is it held?

The event is held in Town Center of Mercer Island, 78th Ave. and Sunset Blvd at the Greta Hackett Outdoor Sculpture Gallery.  The event is close to a several shops and restaurants.  Click for map location


Where can I find parking?

Parking is available on the streets near the venue and in the Park and Ride lot about a block away, just north of I-90. There is also free parking in several garages in the area. Watch for signs with Parking symbols.


Can I ride my bike?

Yes! Pedal your bicycle down to the festival and park your two-wheeled ride in the various bike racks near the venue.


What public transportation is available?

The event is being held just across I-90 from the Park and Ride lot, which is served by frequent bus service from Seattle and Bellevue.  Below are a few suggestions to plan your trip:


How much does it cost?

Tasting Garden admission is $30 in advance or $35 day of event. Admission includes entrance to the Tasting Garden, and 12 wine tasting tickets. WA State Liquor Control Board:  Tasting size is 2 oz. You must be 21 or older and have a valid ID to enter the Tasting Garden. No exceptions per the Washington State Liquor Control Board. Advance tickets are non-refundable; the event will be held rain or shine.

If you are not going to taste wine you can purchase an Art Patron ticket for $5.00 and enjoy the art, sponsors, music and food trucks.


Can I buy advanced tickets?

Yes! Buy early and save money. Advanced tickets can be bought online (credit card only) at mercerislandartuncorked.com, in person at the Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce office, 7605 S.E. 27th Street, Mercer Island, or by calling the Chamber office at 206-232-3404.


What is the appropriate ID to get in?

The Washington State Liquor Control Board requires everyone entering the Tasting Garden to present valid ID. According to the WSLCB, any of the following is acceptable:

  • a driver's license with a photo from any state

  • a current passport

  • a DMV identification card*

  • a military card*


What is Mercer Island Uncorked's Guest Conduct Policy?

The event has a strict alcohol policy that is designed to protect the guests and the public from alcohol-related incidents. All event guests are expected to maintain responsible and appropriate behavior at all times. Any behavior defying this policy as determined by event management can result in ejection and possible arrest.  Event management has the right to refuse entry to any guest deemed intoxicated upon arrival to the event.  Additionally, the event management has the right to remove any guest from the premises who is intoxicated, causes a disturbance or displays inappropriate behavior. Ejected guests will not receive a refund for their tickets or be compensated in any way.

Is there re-entry at Mercer Island Uncorked?

Yes. You must show your bracelet for re-entry into the Tasting Garden.


Does Mercer Island Uncorked accept credit cards or checks?

We accept VISA and Mastercard as well as cash or checks for payment of admission.


Can I bring my child?

All Tasting Garden ticket holders must be at least 21 years of age with valid ID.

No exceptions per the Washington State Liquor Control Board. 

Can I bring my pet?

Only service animals on leash are allowed. 

How do the tickets work?

At the check-in table, you issued a bracelet and will receive twelve (12) tickets for the tastings and a complimentary stemless wine glass from our sponsor Wells Fargo.  To taste a wine, present a ticket to the wine pourer. WA State Liquor Control Board: Tasting size is 2 oz.  Wine servers do not accept cash. Additional tasting tickets may be purchased at the entrance for $3 each. Tasting tickets are non-refundable. Wine may not be taken outside the fenced area.


When do admission and extra wine tasting ticket sales end?

Admission and ticket sales will stop at 8:30 p.m., one-half hour before bottles are corked at 9 p.m. Be aware of this when scheduling your visit to the event. We want you to be happy, so arrive early and allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy the event.


When does wine tasting end?

The last call will be announced at 8:45 p.m. No wine will be served after 8:50 p.m. The event closes promptly at 9 p.m.


Can I buy the wines I’ve tasted?

Yes, the wineries are making bottles of the sampled wines available for purchase. See the price list included in the program. Purchased wines can be stored at the "Wine Valet" while you enjoy the evening.

Is there food on site?

Yes! Local Seattle food vendors will be inside the tickets area. Guest may not take wine outside the fenced area. Downtown Mercer Island also has a number of wonderful restaurants, so you can sit down and enjoy a meal after this event.


Is smoking allowed?

Mercer Island Uncorked is an outdoor event but smoking is not allowed in the Outdoor Sculpture Park. As per Washington State Law, smoking is allowed 20-feet from doorways of buildings. We ask that you do not litter, use the trash receptacles and be respectful of other guests.


What about designated drivers? 

If you are part of a group and plan to drink, assign a designated driver. Designated drivers may enter the event with a $5.00 Art Patron ticket. No tasting tickets will be given but ID will be checked (21 years and older only) and a wrist band will be issued.  with a Non-Tasting Admission and a valid ID. Non-Tasting Admission bracelet are available at registration and are free.


If the person I'm with doesn't drink, do they have to pay to enter?

You may purchase a $5.00 Art Patron ticket to get into the fenced area and enjoy all the artists' booths, sponsor booths, music and food trucks.


Will non-alcoholic beverages be available?

Yes, a variety of non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase in the food truck area.
